Baked Fennel


  • 1-2 heads fennel, sliced lengthwise to make 1/4 inch thick planks
  • Bread crumbs
  • Bleu cheese, crumbled or parmesan, grated
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Slice fennel and steam until just tender. Place in an oiled baking dish, cut sides up, and brush with olive oil. Layer bread crumbs and your choice of cheese on top. Sprinkle salt and pepper over top. Bake at 350 until cheese is melty and slightly browned.
