Edamame

Edamame are green soybeans. Salt-boiled edamame in pods are eaten by squeezing beans out of pods with your fingers. It's a great appetizer to serve with beer. We use them as an appetizer especially for stir fries or curried dishes. Oh, and our 5 year old daughter LOVES them.

ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh edamame in pods
  • 2 Tbsp or more salt (The desirable amount of salt varies, depending on the amount of water to boil edamame.)
